About Us

Our mission

We are a student group who's main purpose is to promote community within students from Latin America and their families at Michigan State University.

We achieve this goal as follows:

• Being an open community, based on solidarity, fraternity and with interest of serving.

• Providing spiritual, social and unconditional friendship and support.

• Organizing activities that promote understanding and integration between different cultures, while maintaining our roots.

• We strive and encourage our members in their academical development by assisting their families through a network of friendship.

• Members of La Comunidad Latinoamericana invite all those that wish to participate in our social meetings. These take place twice per month.

• We also organize other activities throughout the the year including the distribution of welcome baskets, a welcome dinner for incoming students, parties, camping trips, and we also travel to different places across Michigan.
