We turn interest into action
La Comunidad Latinoamericana is a student organization that promotes community and culture among Latin American students, scholars, and their families at Michigan State University since 1993.
Among our goals, we strive to provide academic and social support while encouraging true friendship among all members of our community.
In order to fulfill these objectives, we organize activities that stimulate the understanding and integration of different cultures, while preserving our roots.
The members of the Community usually come from North, Central, and South America, the Caribbean, and the Iberian Peninsula as we find our histories, cultures, artistic manifestations, and improvement struggles similar. More importantly, we note that there is a special warmth in all of us. In spite of this, everybody is welcome to join our community and get to experience Latin-America through our different events and socials we host throughout the school year.
